Stafits and Your Privacy

This is the privacy policy statement (“Privacy Policy”) of 2433506 Ontario Inc. d/b/a Stafits (“Stafits” “we”“us”“our” and terms of similar meaninglocated at [www.stafits.com] (the “Website”). Our Website is a tool by which employers can provide their employees with travel benefits through a travel savings account (a “TSA”) collecting contributions from employers and accessible through the Website. The funds in the TSA can be used to purchase various travel packages such as flights and hotel accommodations for a variety of travel destinations (each, a “Travel Product”). This Privacy Policy describes the types of information that we collect from users of our Website (“Users”) as part of its normal operation, and how we use and disclose this information. Stafits is committed to protecting your privacy and has implemented policies and procedures to ensure that your personal information is handled securely and in accordance with applicable privacy laws.

This Privacy Policy may be revised from time to time to reflect our evolving business and the nature of the Travel Products we offer to you. To ensure that you are aware of our current privacy practices, we recommend that you review this statement periodically. Should you choose to provide us with your personal information, we will refer you to this Privacy Policy at the time your information is collected. By visiting and using the Website or by otherwise providing us with your personal information, you expressly consent to our collection, use and disclosure of your personal information in accordance with this Privacy Policy, as it may be amended from time to time. This Privacy Policy is incorporated into and subject to our Terms of Use.

While Stafits may provide links to third party websites, we are not responsible for their treatment of your personal information and remind you that their information-handling activities may not be comparable to ours and that they may not have privacy policies that are in place or disclosed.

Personal Information

The term “personal information” refers to any information that specifically identifies you as an individual and may include details such as your name, e-mail and mailing addresses, age, as well your personal preferences, views and opinions, if they can be linked to you. Stafits needs to collect certain types of personal information from you in order to provide you with Travel Products and related services that you request or as otherwise described in this Privacy Policy. Should you decline to provide such information, Stafits may not be able to provide you with certain products or services.

In general, you can browse the Website without telling us who you are or revealing any personal information about yourself. In order for you to become a registered User, we require you to provide various contact and identity information and other personal information as indicated on the relevant forms on the Website, at which point you will no longer be anonymous to us. Where possible, on these forms we indicate which fields are required and which fields are optional. You always have the option not to provide personal information by choosing not to become a User or by not using the particular feature of the Website for which the personal information is being collected.

Stafits may also use “non-identifiable information” in order to compile broad demographic and website usage information about our consumers in general that cannot or will not be used to identify you personally. This non-identifiable information is in the form of anonymous, aggregate data gleaned from your computer’s web browser when you visit us online.  Such information includes your Internet address, the address of the website you are coming from, the amount of time you spend visiting our website, the pages visited, the operating system and web browser software you use, and, if you link to us through a search engine, the keywords you use to find our website.  The logs do not record personal information, can be accessed only by Stafits, and are used solely to track visits to our site, improve its content and layout and to achieve a better understanding of our Users in general.  Stafits never attempts to tie this information to particular individuals visiting our Website.

Cookies” are small files placed on your hard drive that assist us in providing our services. We use cookies on certain pages of the Website to help analyze our web page flow, measure promotional effectiveness, to promote trust and safety, to offer certain features that are only available through the use of a cookie and to allow us to provide information that is targeted to your interests. Collection and Use of Personal Information

Stafits generally collects, uses and discloses certain types of personal and non-identifiable information from Users who procure Travel Products or who engage in certain online activities on the Website, such as browsing travel opportunities or requesting details about travel packages, including in the following circumstances:

  1. Procuring Travel ProductsWhen you acquire an online user ID to access the Website, and in connection with the TSA assigned to you, an in connection with your procurement of a Travel Product, we collect personal information, including your name, e-mail address, and, in some circumstances, credit card information.
  2. Activities on the WebsiteWe may also use personal information, and other information we obtain from your current and past activities on the Website, to:
    • resolve service disputes;
    • troubleshoot problems;
    • customize your experience based on the preferences you have selected;
    • detect and protect us against error, fraud and other criminal activity;
    • enforce our Terms of Use;
    • provide you with system or administrative messages, and otherwise engage you in correspondence with us; and
    • as otherwise described to you at the time of collection of the information.

Please be assured that Stafits will only collect information that is necessary for the purposes which have been identified to you and that we will obtain your consent for any additional uses of your personal information.

We are aware that our Website may be accessed by children under the age of 13, but we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If you are under the age of 13, please do not use our Website or submit any personal information.

Marketing and Promotional Purposes

From time to time, Stafits may use your personal information to better identify products and services that may be of interest to you, or for other marketing and promotional purposes.

Unless you have already consented to be contacted for marketing and promotional purposes, we will ask you for such consent prior to contacting you. If at any time you do not wish to receive email or other communications from Stafits and you wish to withdraw your consent for such purposes, you may “opt-out” by following the instructions included in each communication or by contacting Stafits support at 1 844 STAFITS. Please note that by procuring a Travel Product, you are consenting to receive communications related to that Travel Product.

Stafits will not rent or sell any personally identifiable information to third parties or otherwise distribute it in a manner that is inconsistent with the terms of this Privacy Policy.

Disclosure of Personal Information

Our employees are familiar with the contents of this Privacy Policy and are informed about our policies and procedures for protecting personal information. Your personal information is only disclosed to those within the Stafits-owned or affiliated companies with a need to know, which individuals are held accountable for maintaining the confidentiality of all personal information to which they have access.

When you register as a User or procure Travel Products, you consent to our providing your personal information to the providers of the Travel Products or related intermediaries such as travel agents (“Third Party Service Providers”). These Third Party Service Providers are not bound to treat your personal information in accordance with this Privacy Policy and you agree that we are not responsible for the information handling practices of such Third Party Service Providers.

We may also disclose your personal information if required to do so by law, which may include (i) to comply with a legal obligation; (ii) to protect or defend our rights, interests or property or that of third parties; (iii) to prevent, investigate or identify possible wrongdoing in relation to the use of our Website; (iv) to protect the personal safety of our Users or others; or (v) to safeguard against legal liability.

Facebook and Other Third Party Connections

You can connect your Stafits account to your accounts on third party services or social media websites (by way of example, Facebook, LinkedIN, Twitter, etc.), in which case we may collect, use, disclose, transfer and store information relating to your account with such third party services or social media in accordance with this Privacy Policy and the permissions you grant during the connection process.

Our Retention of Your Personal Information

We retain personal information for only as long as required to fulfill the identified purposes for which it was collected, and for a reasonable time thereafter, or as required by law. We will dispose of your personal information when it is no longer needed or render it anonymous, but private messages, instant messages, photos, comments and certain other information sent to Users, or otherwise posted on the Website may remain on the Website after you deactivate your account.

Security Measures

Stafits has established safeguarding measures to uphold the security of personal information obtained from and about you, regardless of the format in which it is held. We have instituted policies and procedures to protect against unauthorized use or access, alteration, duplication, destruction, disclosure, or loss or theft of your personal information. All electronically-stored or transmitted personal information resides on secure servers behind a firewall and data base access is carefully restricted. Even so, no Internet or e-mail transmission is ever fully secure or error-free. Please keep this in mind when disclosing personal information to us electronically.

Accessing Your Personal information

You reserve the right to access personal information Stafits has collected about you. Should you wish to review or verify your personal information, please refer to the contact information provided at the end of this Privacy Policy. At the time you make such a request, we will need specific information from you to enable us to search for, and provide you with, the personal information we hold about you. There are a few instances where we will not be able to provide some of the personal information we hold about you. These include, but are not limited to, cases where personal information:

  • contains references to other persons;
  • is subject to solicitor-client or litigation privilege or cannot be disclosed for other legal reasons;
  • contains our own proprietary information that is confidential to us; or
  • has already been destroyed due to legal requirements, or because we no longer needed it for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy.

We are committed to maintaining the accuracy of your personal information for as long as it is being used for the purposes for which it was collected, and provided that you notify us of any changes.
